In your role as the CI SME/Instructor - Investigations (ACIIC), you will support the Joint Counterintelligence Training Activity (JCITA) by delivering advanced classroom instruction that prepares Counterintelligence (CI) agents to conduct CI investigations involving Foreign Intelligence Entities (FIEs). You will help students understand and apply the full investigative cycle, leverage CI functional services and investigative tools, and satisfy evidentiary requirements in support of potential prosecution.

In your role as the CI SME/Instructor - Investigations (ACIIC), you will support the Joint Counterintelligence Training Activity (JCITA) by delivering advanced classroom instruction that prepares Counterintelligence (CI) agents to conduct CI investigations involving Foreign Intelligence Entities (FIEs). You will help students understand and apply the full investigative cycle, leverage CI functional services and investigative tools, and satisfy evidentiary requirements in support of potential prosecution.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom instruction that enables CI agents to conduct CI investigations to determine whether a person is an agent of, or acting on behalf of, a Foreign Intelligence Entity (FIE)
- Instruct students on leveraging CI functional services and investigative tools to satisfy evidentiary requirements toward prosecution
- Assess student performance in practical exercises that frequently exceed eight (8) hours a day
- Provide instruction on the full CI investigative cycle, including investigative planning, execution, documentation, evidence handling, and case progression
- Apply experience as a Senior CI investigator to support realistic, operationally relevant instruction
- Ensure instruction aligns with applicable DoD policies, procedures, and statutory requirements, including DoDM 5240.01, DoDI 5240.04, DoDI 5240.10, DoDD 5240.06, and applicable statutes under Title 18 U.S.C.
Your Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Counterintelligence (CI) Special Agent credentialing school
- Five (5) years demonstrated experience related to CI investigations, with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years
- Served as a Senior CI investigator with experience conducting the full investigative cycle
- Demonstrated experience conducting, supervising, instructing, supporting, or providing legal oversight of full-scope CI investigations
- Knowledgeable on DoD policies and procedures IAW DoDM 5240.01, DoDI 5240.04, DoDI 5240.10, and DoDD 5240.06, in addition to applicable statutes under Title 18 U.S.C.
- Ability to assess student performance in long-duration practical exercises
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required
