We are seeking a Mid-to-Senior Level Software Engineer with at least 6 years of software development experience and a technical bachelor's degree to support development efforts in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Responsibilities
- Develop software solutions using technologies such as Java, Python, JavaScript, CSS, and SQL
- Analyze user and system requirements to support software design and implementation
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues
- Develop new features and enhance existing codebases based on mission and customer requirements
- Apply scientific and analytical methodologies to solve technical challenges
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system and user documentation
- Integrate software components and external systems using native or custom APIs
- Apply secure coding principles throughout the software development lifecycle
- Analyze application performance and collaborate with engineering teams to optimize workflows, usage, and system efficiency
- Participate in and lead code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices
- Design and implement algorithms that meet functional and performance requirements
- Develop and execute automated testing procedures and frameworks
- Design and modify software solutions using mathematical and analytical models to predict and measure outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of software development experience
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (additional experience may be substituted where applicable)
- IAT Level II certification or equivalent certification meeting federal cybersecurity requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph
