Job Description
We are looking for multiple software engineers to join our team. All three roles require an active TS/SCI with CI Poly and share a foundational tech stack, but each focuses on a completely different core component of architecture. TS/SCI required, TS/SCI CI Poly preferred.
The Core Stack:
Language: Advanced Python (5+ years, async programming, performance optimization)
Infrastructure as Code: AWS CDK (5+ years IaC, 3+ years building complex, reusable constructs/stacks, multi-environment deployments)
AWS Cloud-Native Ecosystem: Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, ECS, Fargate, or EKS
Data & Analytics Tier: S3, Athena, RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, and AWS-native ETL/ELT pipelines
Openings:
1: Geospatial Algorithms Specialist
The Focus: Building scalable, production-grade pipelines to process massive vector datasets.
Role-Specific Tech & Concepts: Custom spatial algorithm development, large-scale vector geospatial data products, ingestion/transformation validation workflows, and cloud-first data lakes.
2: Distributed Systems & Kafka Engineer
The Focus: Architecting the backbone of our near real-time, high-throughput streaming infrastructure.
Role-Specific Tech & Concepts: Apache Kafka (streaming system design, cluster management, API design/versioning), end-to-end latency and throughput metrics reporting, and real-time streaming architectures.
3: Geospatial Data & Database Engineer
The Focus: Database administration, architecture, and optimization for multi-tenant geospatial workloads.
Role-Specific Tech & Concepts: AWS Aurora Postgres & PostGIS, spatial indexing strategies, Row Level Security (RLS) for fine-grained data isolation, query performance tuning, and full-lifecycle production DBA operations (scaling, backups, upgrades).
