Position Summary:
Within this role we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud & Collaboration Security Architect / Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and operational management of secure enterprise infrastructure and collaboration platforms across hybrid, on-premises, and cloud environments. This role is responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and highly reliable technology solutions across cloud platforms, networking, cybersecurity, and enterprise collaboration domains. The position combines advanced expertise in system architecture, cloud engineering (Microsoft Azure and AWS), DevSecOps, cybersecurity, identity and access management, enterprise networking, and collaboration technologies to ensure optimal performance, availability, compliance, and security of enterprise systems and services. Key responsibilities include managing identity and access controls, certificate lifecycle management, patch management, infrastructure automation, The role also oversees Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive to ensure seamless collaboration, governance, compliance, and operational security across productivity platforms. Success in this role is measured through improvements in security posture, operational efficiency, platform reliability, service availability, compliance readiness, and overall customer and organizational experience.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Cloud & Systems Architecture
• Design, implement, and maintain secure enterprise architectures across hybrid, cloud, and on-premises environments.
• Lead cloud engineering initiatives within Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments.
• Develop scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure solutions aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Support infrastructure modernization, automation, and platform optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and business teams to develop strategic technology roadmaps.
Microsoft 365 Administration & Collaboration Services
• Manage and support Microsoft 365 services including but not limited to:
o Exchange Online
o SharePoint Online
o Microsoft Teams
o OneDrive for Business
o Copilot
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of collaboration platforms.
• Implement and manage data governance, retention, compliance, and information protection policies.
• Configure and maintain identity integration and authentication services within M365 environments.
• Support secure collaboration solutions in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
Identity, Access Management & Security
• Administer and maintain enterprise identity and access management (IAM) systems.
• Manage Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), conditional access, role-based access controls (RBAC), and privileged access management.
• Oversee certificate lifecycle management including issuance, renewal, revocation, and monitoring.
• Implement and maintain multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), and Zero Trust security principles.
• Develop and enforce identity governance and access control policies.
DevSecOps & Infrastructure Security
• Implement DevSecOps practices across infrastructure and application delivery pipelines.
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD processes and infrastructure-as-code deployments.
• Manage vulnerability remediation, patch management, and system hardening activities.
• Conduct security reviews, risk assessments, and compliance validation activities.
• Support continuous monitoring, logging, and threat detection initiatives.
Networking & Infrastructure Operations
• Support enterprise networking environments including:
o TCP/IP networking
o DNS
o 802.1X authentication
o Network segmentation
o Secure remote access technologies
• Apply network security principles to protect enterprise systems and data.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity, and authentication issues across hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with network and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure system integration.
Salesforce & Enterprise Platform Support
• Support secure integration and operational management of Salesforce environments.
• Collaborate with application teams to implement secure identity and data access controls.
• Ensure enterprise platforms align with organizational cybersecurity and compliance requirements.
Incident Response, Resilience & Compliance
• Participate in incident and problem management activities including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, and resilience strategies.
• Support compliance initiatives aligned with cybersecurity and regulatory frameworks.
• Assist with audit preparation, remediation activities, and security documentation.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one is required.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, systems administration, infrastructure architecture, or cybersecurity engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
• Experience managing Microsoft 365 enterprise collaboration services.
• Strong knowledge of:
o Active Directory / Entra ID
o Identity and access management
o Certificate lifecycle management
o DNS and enterprise networking
o TCP/IP and network security principles
o DevSecOps methodologies
o Patch and vulnerability management
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and secure architecture principles.
