ASRC Federal is looking for a Systems Administrator to support their work with DEVCOM CBC G-6. In this role, you will provide Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 IT support across DEVCOM CBC G-6 branches, triaging and resolving help desk tickets while delivering a broad range of systems administration, infrastructure, and end-user support functions. You will work closely with the DEVCOM CBC G-6 team and the IT Mission Support Center to coordinate resolution of all related trouble tickets, supporting everything from desktop and warehouse operations to network configuration, classified system support, and PKI token administration.
This is a broad systems administration and IT support role that spans the full support tier spectrum within the DEVCOM CBC G-6 environment. You will perform all support systems administration responsibilities including network license generation, PDQ Deploy package creation, network infrastructure design and installation, and technical support for Controlled Cryptographic Items, Citrix VPN, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, and thin clients on both classified and unclassified networks, in addition to general Windows Server and Linux Server administration duties.
A typical week involves triaging and resolving assigned help desk tickets across all tiers, coordinating with DEVCOM CBC G-6 and the IT Mission Support Center on complex or cross-functional issues, performing Enhanced Trusted Agent duties for PKI hardware token issuance, executing data sanitization on equipment designated for turn-in or destruction, and supporting network configuration and cabling activities as directed. This role requires a technically versatile systems administrator who is comfortable moving between desktop support, infrastructure work, and classified system administration, and who applies sound judgment and consistent adherence to DoD cybersecurity guidelines across all activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 IT support across DEVCOM CBC G-6 branches, triaging all assigned help desk tickets and coordinating resolution with the IT Mission Support Center and G-6 staff
- Perform Enhanced Trusted Agent responsibilities for issuing and maintaining PKI hardware tokens to DEVCOM CBC personnel for classified and privileged user systems
- Execute data sanitization procedures on CBC equipment designated for turn-in or destruction in accordance with Army and NSA data destruction policy and guidelines
- Generate new network licenses for commercial off-the-shelf software, maintaining accurate license tracking in accordance with Cybersecurity-approved methods
- Create PDQ Deploy packages for supported software applications, supporting centralized software deployment across the DEVCOM CBC G-6 environment
- Design and install well-functional computer network configurations, connections, and cabling in support of new installations and infrastructure changes
- Provide technical support for Controlled Cryptographic Items, Citrix Virtual Private Networks, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, and thin clients on both classified and unclassified networks
- Perform general system administration duties for Windows and Linux servers
- Follow all DoD and Army cybersecurity guidelines across all support activities, escalating cybersecurity concerns to the appropriate branch as directed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field or 4 additional years of experience (for a total of 5 years) in lieu of the degree
- 1 or more years of experience in systems administration, IT support, or a related technical field
- Experience with Windows-based systems administration including Active Directory, network configuration, and desktop support
- Familiarity with software deployment tools or package management in an enterprise IT environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification
- Experience with PDQ Deploy or similar enterprise software deployment platforms
- Experience supporting Virtual Desktop Infrastructure or thin client environments in a DoD context
- Experience with Citrix VPN configuration and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Controlled Cryptographic Item handling procedures and PKI token administration in a DoD environment
- Experience performing data sanitization in accordance with Army and NSA data destruction policy
- Experience supporting classified networks and systems at Aberdeen Proving Ground or similar Army installations
US GOVERNMENT CLEARANCE LEVEL
- This position requires an active DOD Secret clearance. An interim Secret clearance is acceptable to start until the full clearance is granted.
- Or the ability obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.

CERTIFICATION
- DoDI 8140.03 qualification for DCWF Work Role System Administrator (451 Intermediate). Accepted foundational qualifications include certifications mapped to Work Role 451 Intermediate in the current DoD 8140 Qualification Matrix, such as Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, and SSCP.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This position operates across DEVCOM CBC G-6 facilities at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The role involves extended use of computer and network equipment and requires the candidate to move between buildings, server rooms, and work areas on the installation to perform installations, troubleshooting, and support activities. The candidate may need to transport IT equipment and materials and work in server room or data center environments as part of infrastructure support activities.
