Systems Engineer 2 (3rd Shift Sun Night - Friday Morning)
Location: Baltimore, MD
Duration: 12 Months
Rate: Up to $95.00/hr BOE
Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, MD is seeking an Engineer Systems Test 2 to support on-site test bench operations for the Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T) of a production Space RADAR Payload program on 3rd shift, 9 PM - 5 AM, Sunday night - Friday morning.
Responsibilities include executing test scripts for the verification of Software, Hardware, and System requirements for applications in Space. Understanding of RF (Radio Frequency) systems, especially RADAR; programming and scripting skills; and, working knowledge of RF test equipment (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, etc.) is desired.
Basic Qualifications:
• BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math); and 2 - 5 years of sensor systems or Space integration and test experience
• MATLAB for executing and editing/improving existing code for test data analysis and trending
• Willingness to work dedicated 3rd shift (9 PM - 5 AM, Sunday night - Friday morning) for 1 year
• NO CLEARANCE REQUIRED to start, but must be eligible for TS/SCI
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with RADAR and/or ESA (Electronically Scanned Array) Antenna integration and test
• Experience with Space Payload or Space Vehicle (Satellite) integration and test in a clean room environment
• Python and Tcl for executing and editing/improving existing scripts
• Experience with Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket
• Active TS and/or SCI clearance
