Job Description
Mid-Level Scrum Master
About the Team
Here at BTI360, we’ve built a culture that’s passionate about developing software engineers. Software doesn't build itself. People do. In fact, teams of people do. That's why our primary focus is on developing better craftsmen, better teammates, and better technical leaders. By putting people first, we're not just giving our teammates more opportunities to grow, we're also raising the bar of the software we ship. BTI360 previously has been voted 10 years in a row as a TOP Place to Work by the Washington Business Journal.
As a Scrum Master, you’ll be the servant leader and process champion for one or more Agile software development teams. Accountable for team effectiveness, you’ll work closely with product owners, technical leads, and program leadership to foster an environment where engineers can do their best work. You’ll ensure the team’s Agile process is healthy, adaptive, and aligned with both customer priorities and delivery goals.
What you will do in this role:
• Facilitate Agile events as needed, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
• Coach the team and organization on Agile principles, helping them grow in self-organization, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Ensure impediments to delivery are removed by working across team and organizational boundaries to unblock progress
• Track team delivery metrics (velocity, throughput, cycle time) and use them to guide improvements in flow and predictability
Job Qualifications:
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• 3 + years hands-on experience serving as Scrum Master or Agile Team Facilitator for one or more software development teams
• Strong understanding of Agile values, principles, and practices (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or related frameworks)
• Strong facilitation skills and the ability to guide effective team discussions
• Experience helping teams identify and remove delivery blockers
• Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms
• Ability to work effectively with technical teams, product owners, and program stakeholders
Desired Skills:
• Experience in Lean Agile or Scaled Agile (SAFe) environments with coordination required across multiple teams
• Familiarity with Intelligence Community data, culture, and mission priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and coaching skills, including emotional intelligence and conflict resolution
• Experience using delivery metrics to improve team performance
• Strategic thinking and the ability to connect team outcomes to program goals
• Certifications: CSM (Certified Scrum Master), SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
