About the Job
The Senior Systems Administrator will support the management, maintenance, and security of Windows Server environments and related infrastructure. This position is based onsite at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL, and will work closely with IT teams, end-users, and third-party vendors to troubleshoot issues, maintain systems, support infrastructure projects, and ensure reliable mission-focused operations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot technical issues within Windows Server 2019 and Windows Server 2022 operating systems.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks, including system patching, remediation, and upgrades.
• Manage certificate lifecycle processes for web servers and secure communication channels.
• Build, deploy, and maintain server applications and proprietary software.
• Install critical system patches and support system modernization activities.
• Collaborate with IT teams to design, implement, and improve infrastructure solutions.
• Ensure systems remain compliant with applicable security policies, regulations, and best practices.
• Interact with end-users to understand, evaluate, and support functional requirements.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for troubleshooting, support, and issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate system documentation and prepare process guides.
• Support projects designed to enhance operational efficiency, security, and system reliability.
• Track, prioritize, escalate, and resolve problems according to established procedures.
• Produce management reports and informational materials to support process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 certification.
• 3+ years of related systems administration experience.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience in systems administration and infrastructure management.
• Understanding of certificate lifecycle management.
• Ability to prepare clear and comprehensive documentation for systems administration tasks.
• Ability to work onsite at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting USCENTCOM and familiarity with its mission.
• Experience working in cross-functional IT teams and project environments.
• Knowledge of scripting languages, such as PowerShell, for automation tasks.
