Duties
As a HR Spec, GS-0201-11, you will perform work in two HR Specialties, Benefits and Active Guard and Reserve (AGR). This position services both Army (ARNG) and Air National Guard (ANG) organizations and the full-time workforce within the state.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must have one year equivalent to at least next lower grade level. Must have experience providing technical advice to personnel on programs such as the Mass Transit, Reasonable Accommodations (RA), Telework, Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Act, military, or civilian deposits for CSRS/FERS, disability benefits, Light Duty Program, and Workers Compensation Program. Must have experience compiling personnel and statistical reports and advises staff in the proper documentation for personnel actions. Monitors and ensures the Federal Employees Compensation Act (FECA) program is properly publicized and supervisors are provided the appropriate guidelines for use of the program. Ensures prompt submission of claims and medical documents. Experience working with Defense Civilian Personnel Advisory Service (DCPAS), ANG/ARNG Safety Managers and supervisors to ensure payment of legitimate claims, questionable claims are reviewed and referred to DOL as appropriate and potential fraudulent claims are reported to the appropriate office for investigation. Experience assessing and analyzing situations to ensure minimum compensation costs are expended and light duty policies are implemented. Experience with processing requests and producing transition documents for voluntary retirements, voluntary resignations, involuntary separations, medical retirements and separations, and all other Title 32 AGR transitions from active federal service. Must have experience maintaining the Electronic Official Personnel Files by uploading required documentation in accordance with the Guide to Personnel Record keeping.

Education
If using only education to qualify for this position, must have Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M.
Combining Education and Experience: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond a four year degree in a related field to the position.
Graduate Education: Education at the graduate level in an accredited college or university meets the requirements for positions at GS-11.
You must provide Official Transcripts as documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
