Job Title: System Engineer/MBSE
Format: 9-month contract to hire
Location: Remote
Interviews: Beginning May 18th
Start Date: Targeting July 6th
Hourly on contract: $50.48 - 57.69
Conversion Salary: $108,000 - 122,000 (some flexibility)
Clearance: Secret
Job Overview:
As a System Engineer/MBSE, you will play a vital role in analyzing complex technical support assignments and collaborating with various stakeholders, including engineers, cybersecurity personnel, logisticians, and program analysts in a scaled agile environment. You will oversee the development of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance. You will also integrate various network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices while considering project design aspects such as cost, schedule, and social implications.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide continuous systems engineering (SE) and technical support for Warehouse Management System (WMS) projects.
· Maintain WMS requirements and specifications in the DOORS database.
· Support technical activities, including Initial Program Reviews (IPRs) and System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs), and provide assessments of documentation.
· Attend and provide updates in WMS Integrated Government Schedule (IGS) meetings.
· Review Oracle Unified Methodology (OUM) documentation and maintain a master Comment Resolution Matrix (CRM).
· Oversee the Agile development process to ensure consistent customer value through software solutions.
· Monitor and analyze Agile development reports (e.g., Sprint burndown, status updates, progress tracking).
· Compile and report on performance metrics for all cloud-hosted applications (e.g., velocity, cycle time).
· Prepare and deliver agendas and presentation materials, draft meeting minutes, and capture action items for meetings/events.
· Occasional CONUS travel may be required.
Qualifications:
· BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific/technical discipline (MA/MS preferred).
· Minimum of six (6) years of professional experience, including at least four (4) years on high-visibility or mission-critical projects within the Department of Defense or industry.
· Preferred experience with Navy or Marine Corps programs and logistics systems.
· Model-Based Systems Engineering experience; familiarity with Cameo Systems Modeler is preferred.
· Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
· Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, government personnel, and other stakeholders.
· Must hold a security clearance at the Secret level.
