Volt is immediately hiring for an Optical Manufacturing Technician
As an Optical Manufacturing Technician, you will support building, integration, and testing of photonic components and systems.
Day to Day Responsibilities
• Perform fabrication, assembly, integration, testing, and inspection per detailed work instructions and drawings.
• Assemble and inspect photonic circuits, including optical fiber splicing/recoating, mechanical assemblies, and metal soldering.
• Integrate COTS optical equipment (e.g., power meters, laser sources) using block diagrams and wiring schematics.
• Support equipment calibration following vendor or custom procedures.
• Operate and maintain tools and systems used in optical device fabrication, including wire bonding, photomasking, and epoxy application.
• Perform precision assembly and machining using standard shop tools and equipment.
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, and preventive maintenance.
• Communicate with management to support cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Interpret and execute technical specifications and engineering documentation.

Clearance: Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of relevant experience, or Associate Degree / post?secondary education with 2+ years of related experience.
Pay Range: $120k - $160k per annum.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
