What You Will Do:
The Generator/Frequency Converter Technician shall be responsible for testing, proper operation and maintenance (to include repair) of the power generation and power frequency converter equipment in support of the PATRIOT MEIs. The Power Generation/Frequency Converter Technician shall provide support for the testing, operation and maintenance (including repair) of all power generation and power conversion equipment (i.e. tactical site Frequency Converters). The functional details and knowledge associated with each task performed by the Generator / Frequency Converter Technician shall be made available / transferred to UAE military technicians via on-the-job-training principles and concepts. The Generator / Frequency Converter Technician shall structure support to facilitate UAE military technicians in becoming self-sufficient in Generator / Frequency Converter support activities. All Generator / Frequency Converter Technician actions in support of the UAE shall be in accordance with standard US Army maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures stipulated within AR 750-1. The Power Generation/Frequency Converter Technician shall interface with manufacturers of the power generation and power conversion equipment on an as required basis.
This position is located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This assignment is for short term only.
Qualifications You Must Have :
• The Power Generation Technician shall be a graduate of the US Army Power Generation Equipment Repairer (MOS 52D) Course or a graduate of a technical school or manufacturer's course of instruction on diesel power generation equipment.
• The Power Generation Technician shall possess work experience in troubleshooting, fault isolation, disassembly, repair, assembly, and checkout of Lechmotoren power generation equipment.
• The Power Generation Technician shall have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the repair and refurbishment of generators and possess a working knowledge of the 15kw/400hz, 30kw/400hz and 150kw/400hz diesel generators.
• The Power Generation Technician shall have experience in the operation and maintenance (repair) of 150KW and 30KW Frequency Converters and experience in the implementation / execution of standard US Army materiel maintenance management concepts and practices.
Qualifications We Prefer:
• Demonstrated experience with Raytheon Quality Control procedures.
• Demonstrated experience of the Patriot refurbishment, modification, and system integration and check out (SICO) process.
• Demonstrated comprehensive planning skills.
• Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with special focus on achieving active participation of appropriate individuals across the business.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs.
• Experience living and working in an overseas location.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years' experience or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.
