Basic Qualifications
• Active TSSCI
• BA and 12+ years of experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Proven track record of leading multiple teams and delivering complex software systems
• Demonstrated leadership skills and attention to detail, including excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Strong background in automated testing, CI/CD, and modern software delivery practices
• Experience with software development languages/environments such as: JavaScript. GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible Automation, Python, JavaScript, Java, PSSQL, YAML, and Terraform
• Hands-on full-SDLC Agile Software Development experience, including full software lifecycle automation experience (design, development, test, deployment), including deployment to a production environment
• Experience designing, building, and deploying DevOps pipelines with Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory and Ansible (or equivalent tools)
• Previous experience tracking projects in Jira or equivalent Agile Project Management software
• Experience with the following technologies:
o GitHub
o Gradle
o PowerShell
o Java Full Stack
o Oracle 19c
o Webservices
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experienced with DISA and DISA’s support to mission partners
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying software in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).
Day-To-Day:
An employer is looking for a Software Engineering Lead to sit 100% on site in Arlington, VA. This role will lead the technical strategy, architecture, and delivery of secure, scalable software solutions while translating mission outcomes into Agile execution plans. The Technical Lead will oversee DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, secure API and data pipeline development, and release management across the full software lifecycle, using technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and Git-based tools. In addition to hands-on technical leadership, this role is responsible for leading and developing senior engineering teams, driving engineering standards and best practices, ensuring reliable and predictable delivery across multiple Agile teams, and partnering closely with product, business, and executive stakeholders.
Compensation: $62/hr. - $72/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
