Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and highly strategic Program Manager to lead our portfolio of complex business transformation initiatives. This role will define the strategic vision and governance framework for programs utilizing a technology stack that includes Appian and Salesforce. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of directing a portfolio of large-scale, cross-functional programs, a deep understanding of how to leverage business process management (BPM) and customer relationship management (CRM) to achieve enterprise goals, and the executive presence to align technology strategies with business objectives

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Strategy & Leadership:
    • Develop and execute the long-term strategic vision for a portfolio of technology programs that leverage the Appian and Salesforce platforms.
    • Establish the overall scope, objectives, and key results for the program portfolio in collaboration with executive leadership and key stakeholders.
    • Oversee the development and integration of multiple program roadmaps, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives.
    • Implement a governance framework to measure portfolio performance, value realization, and ROI, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track success.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Senior Program Managers and technical leads.
  • Executive & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Direct the alignment of multiple programs and workstreams across technical teams (Appian developers, Salesforce administrators), business divisions (sales, marketing, customer service), and external partners.
    • Serve as the principal liaison to executive leadership, providing regular updates on portfolio status, strategic alignment, and outcomes.
    • Foster seamless communication and collaboration across all program components to ensure a unified approach.
    • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to C-suite executives.
  • Governance & Technical Oversight:
    • Establish and enforce the governance framework for technical solutions across the portfolio, managing risk, change control, and issue resolution at a strategic level.
    • Ensure that technology solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and platform best practices.
    • Champion innovation by identifying strategic opportunities for process optimization and system integration to improve enterprise efficiency and user experience.
    • Address and mitigate major risks to portfolio success and develop strategies to overcome strategic challenges.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in program management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing a portfolio of programs in digital transformation or CRM/BPM-focused environments.
    • Proven track record of directing large-scale program portfolios that involve Appian and/or Salesforce platforms.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate required.
    • Must be a US citizen and/or green card holder and be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
    • Prior FDA experience is required
  • Core Competencies:
    • Executive-level leadership presence with exceptional conflict resolution and organizational skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage a complex portfolio of programs, balancing priorities, resources, and budgets effectively.
    • Superior analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
