Job Description

Qualifications

VNE, LLC is looking for a TS/SCI Cleared Cyber Security Engineer III

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent
  • Individual shall be certified as Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I (position-based) per DoD 8570.1M

Experience:
  • Fourteen (14) years of professional experience with cybersecurity engineering. Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I (position-based) per DoD 8570.1M.
  • Experience with preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements. They may also perform the following duties:
  • Planning, implementing, upgrading, and/or monitoring cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber resilient network
  • Assessing cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensuring appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure
  • Responding to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports
  • TS/SCI level Clearance required.

Job Description:

The scope of work covers systems engineering, technical, and management support services for the government and its associated acquisition, technology, logistics, and program management offices. Support is provided to multiple stakeholders responsible for the development, integration, and sustainment of specialized operational capabilities. The scope of support includes program management, engineering analysis and design, configuration management, testing, quality control, sustainment, cybersecurity, training, and field service representative (FSR) support for a static collection capability that functions as a subsystem within a larger integrated system.

This is in support of the development, production, and sustainment of specialized intelligence capabilities. Configuration management and associated systems engineering activities are conducted through a collaborative effort among multiple government and partner organizations to ensure interoperability, performance, and lifecycle support.

Essential Duties of the Job:
  • Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
  • Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
  • Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
  • Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face

  • May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (i.e. general office environment).
