Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of all AV/VTC equipment. This includes responding to and resolving issues ranging from basic operational questions to complex technical failures. The contractor shall utilize advanced troubleshooting and analysis methods to diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring minimal downtime. The contractor shall complete all repairs and replacements within a timely manner based on the availability of parts sourced in accordance with the approved products list. For equipment valued over $1,000, the contractor shall provide detailed repair or replacement quotes to the G6 Leadership or Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for approval.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive maintenance plan for all AV/VTC hardware and software. This includes conducting a minimum of two preventative maintenance (PM) assessments per month to perform thorough system checks, analysis, and software upgrades as applicable. During these assessments, the contractor shall assess the condition of all equipment, perform necessary updates, and document best practices for system use and maintenance. The contractor shall provide recommendations for equipment replacement or upgrades to ensure continued system reliability and performance.
- Provide telephonic technical support to USARCENT G6 personnel Monday through Friday, from 0600 to 1730 hours. This support shall include real-time troubleshooting, guidance on system configuration, and assistance with software or hardware issues. The contractor shall ensure that all customer inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally, maintaining a high standard of service and communication.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and system upgrades. This includes submitting electronic reports of preventative maintenance assessments, repair actions, and recommendations to the PM, COR, and USARCENT G6 Leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Army regulations, security protocols, and local policies. This includes maintaining a current SECRET security clearance, completing all required training (e.g., Cyber Awareness Training, AIT, SAAR ), and adhering to information assurance and physical security requirements. The contractor shall safeguard all government-furnished equipment and information, ensuring proper handling, storage, and return of all property and access credentials.
- Proactively engage with the USARCENT G6 Leadership and COR to review AV/VTC system functionality, participate in scheduled meetings, and provide documented best practice recommendations. The contractor shall stay current with industry developments and manufacturer updates, ensuring that USARCENT G6 benefits from the latest advancements in AV/VTC technology and operational methodologies.
- Coordinate the update of software and firmware versions on all VTC equipment and test updated equipment to validate proper functionality and operations. The Contractor shall remove, install Government purchased software and hardware, and test section equipment to accomplish equipment configurations as required to maintain 100% operational status of section equipment to accomplish life-cycle equipment replacements, equipment upgrades, and configuration changes.
- Conduct conference preparation, monitoring VTC equipment & system performance; reporting equipment and network problems to appropriate parties and performing maintenance & repair. The Contractor shall conduct all Audio-Visual setup support for in house conferencing and ceremony events. The Contractor shall integrate and support Microsoft Teams within USARCENT conference rooms.
- Follow the G6 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for VTC scheduling, operation, and maintenance procedures. The Contractor shall coordinate functional tests and scheduled VTCs with local and remote users, NECs, Defense Information Systems Global-Video Services (GVS); Defense Information Systems Network (DISN), and installation bridge operators.
Qualifications
- Minimum High School/GED.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience with AV/VTC systems. (Cisco, Polycom, Vidyo/GVS, Microsoft Teams).
