Jefferson is seeking Senior Instructor to support the USAF 505 th Tactical Training Group.

This role will be Onsite at Hurlburt Field, Florida. This position requires that applicants reside in the United States and have legal authorization to work in the U.S. Applicants must maintain U.S. residency for the duration of their employment.

Jefferson is seeking a Senior Instructor to support the U.S. Air Force 505th Command and Control Wing (CCW), Test and Training Group (TTG). As a Senior Instructor, you will be entrusted to provide advanced air operations training in the Wing Operations Center 200-Level Training Exercise (WOC-X), Deployed Wing command & Control Course (DWC2C) and Intermediate AFFOR Leader Course (IALC). This position is onsite at Hurlburt Airfield in Florida and requires that applicants reside in the United States and have legal authorization to work in the U.S. Applicants must maintain U.S. residency for the duration of their employment.

Responsibilities:

  • WOCX is a follow-on to 100-level C2 training, designed to refine and instruct staff processes, battle drills, and standard operating procedures by focusing on C2 roles and responsibilities throughout the deployment, sustainment, and redeployment phases of an operation.
  • This course is taught at the UNCLASSIFIED clearance level, but instructors should be prepared to have discussions up to TOP SECRET/SCI.
  • Wing Operation Center 200-Level Training Exercise (WOCX) provides an initial 200-level training event as follow-on to 100-level C2 training (DWC2C).
  • Instruction is conducted via Mobile Training Team (MTT) at the unit's location utilizing the unit of action's deployment equipment and software.
  • The goal of training is to instruct staff processes and aid in the development/refinement of WOC standard operating procedures, battle drills, and rehearsal of concepts by concentrating on C2 roles and responsibilities through "Deploy, Sustain, and Redeploy" phases of operations.
  • The instruction/task training focuses on the WOC C2 element but is scalable to include other force elements as required. Courseware classification will range from Unclassified through Secret, with discussion up to TS/SCI.


Required Qualifications:

  • Must have experience in working with Intelligence, Operations, Logistics (e.g. logistics planning, maintenance, fuel, time-phased force and deployment data (TPFDD), readiness, and ordnance tracking) production, planning and communications.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited university or college.
  • Current Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • At least one year of experience within the past 5 years in an AFCHQ commensurate with that of an O-4 to O-6, and, preferably, served as either a Team/Branch Chief or higher.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of Department of War military experience. Must have demonstrated the ability to instruct in a military environment; it is preferred to have at least 1 year of platform instruction.
  • Demonstrated experience and personal expertise in multi-domain operations, joint planning, and the air tasking cycle.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in one or more of the following: AOC strategy division, AOC combat plans division, AOC combat operations division, AOC intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance division, AFFOR staff (A2, A3, or A5), Non-kinetic Operations team.
  • Experience with operational-level air, or space, or cyber warfare, both generally and in specific functional and/or positional area
  • Ability to travel to various locations within and outside the continental United States (CONUS) in performance of the tasks.
  • Three years of Air Force Component Headquarters (AFCHQ) experience; be post-2016 C2WAC graduates of C2WAC and/or ACSTOPC
  • Have participated in at least two Tier-1 operational-level exercises, graduated 13O IST or USAF Weapons School and/or have experience developing formal military courses.
