Sr Cost Analyst
Clearance: Secret
Location: Wright-Patterson AFB, OH
Schedule: M-F core hours (Onsite, no remote/hybrid options available)
Salary: 90-100K
Major Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage, oversee/lead, or perform scientific work that involves designing, developing, and adapting mathematical, statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques.
• Analyze management problems and provide advice and insight about the probable effects of alternative solutions to these problems.
• Analyze contractor financial data using EVM measures of merit to determine program viability with respect to cost, schedule and performance.
• Support analytical processes, such as: setting up the problem; conducting background research; collecting and reducing data; displaying data for analysis; formulating mathematical expressions; and drawing conclusions.
Qualifications
• 15+ years experience in cost analysis and estimation including at least 5 years in a DoD environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
• Must demonstrate competence in the rigorous methods of scientific inquiry and analysis.
• Professional knowledge of, and skill in applying a wide range of theories, concepts, and methods of analytical, mathematical, or statistical principles and practices to military weapons programs.
• Familiar with the use of routine cost estimating methods such as analogy, engineering or scientific methodology, and extrapolation.
• Knowledge of cost estimating outputs to assess the impact various factors have on the costs to design, research, develop, operate, maintain, and dispose of a particular weapon system.
• Understanding of the most appropriate phase of the budgetary cycle (planning, programming, justification, execution, etc.) for initiating new programs.
• Able to analyze all elements affecting costs for a project of limited scope.
• Comfortable interacting with all levels of an organization and presenting or briefing government stakeholders and program management.
• Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
