Job Description
The Mission: Global Defense. The Backdrop: The Wasatch Mountains.
Are you ready to move beyond basic IT and step onto the front lines of global security? RMantra Solutions is looking for a Network Operations Specialist to join our elite team at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah.
This isn't just a desk job—it’s a high-octane 24/7/365 mission where you protect the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN). One hour you’re isolating a root cause for a critical outage, and the next, you’re providing situational awareness to top-tier leadership.
Ogden: Your 365-Day Playground
In Ogden, "work-life balance" isn't a buzzword; it’s a way of life. When you aren't safeguarding global communications, you’ll be living in an outdoor mecca:
Epic Winters: Grab your gear and hit the "Greatest Snow on Earth" at Snowbasin or Powder Mountain—both just a short drive from the base.
Adrenaline-Fueled Summers: Explore over 200 miles of mountain biking and hiking trails, or spend your afternoons on the water at Pineview Reservoir.
Mountain Town Soul: Experience a city with a historic, gritty charm, filled with local coffee shops, breweries, and a community that lives for the mountains.
Your Impact & Responsibilities
As a Network Guardian, you will be the first line of defense for mission-critical infrastructure:
The Eye in the Sky: Monitor network events in real-time, proactively analyzing alarms to stop failures before they impact the mission.
Problem Solver: Dive deep into fault analysis and isolation—identifying failed hardware, software, or circuits and coordinating their immediate correction.
Network Restoration: Execute reroutes and normalization of services to ensure the warfighter stays connected, meeting strict SLAs that the nation relies on.
Global Communication: Act as the voice of the NOC, providing timely updates to leadership and customers during critical incidents.
Tech Mastery: Gain hands-on experience with an incredible stack of tech, including Cisco, Juniper, Crypto devices, DWDM, and Optical Switching.
What You Bring to the Team
The Essentials:
Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance (and the ability to obtain a Top Secret).
Certification: DoD-8570 IAT Level II (Security+ CE or equivalent) is required by your start date.
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in network environments (High School diploma required).
Tech Savvy: Expertise in at least three of the following: Routers, Switches, Crypto, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, Promina, Cisco, Juniper, MSPP, or DWDM.
Resilience: The ability to excel in a 24/7/365 operational environment.
Ready to Elevate Your Career?
If you’re a proactive troubleshooter who wants to work on the world’s most secure networks while living in an outdoor paradise, we want to talk to you. Apply today and join the mission at Hill AFB.
