CODEplus is currently seeking a Senior Simulation Integration Engineer to support our operations in Huntsville, AL and play a pivotal role in the cutting-edge Human Landing System (HLS) program at Marshall Space Flight Center! Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support hardware/software integration efforts for HLS.
Conduct independent engineering assessments of flight software from requirements through operations.
Serve as Emulator/Simulator Lead, overseeing development, capability definition, pre‑ship checkout, and acceptance documentation.

Act as SME across technical reviews (PSRs, TRRs) and coordinate with stakeholders on design, integration, testing, delivery, and discrepancy resolution.
Support integration, troubleshooting, and deployment of emulators/simulators across facilities.
Participate in internal/external reviews, technical interchange meetings, working groups, and software life‑cycle activities.

Provide regular status to leadership, identify risks, and work proactively with minimal oversight.

Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in cross‑program SIM‑to‑SIM integration and testing, including HWIL and HLA.

Minimum 10 years of experience in software end‑to‑end testing and HWIL testing for avionics and software systems.

Experience supporting NASA space programs.
Strong background in simulator/emulator design, development, and use for integration and V&V.
Knowledge of avionics architectures, flight software, requirements development, RF communications, and spacecraft Ethernet implementations.

Experience developing procedures, specifications, and non‑conformance documentation.
Familiarity with C, C++, Java, scripting languages, XML, and object‑oriented development.
Strong communication skills for multidisciplinary technical coordination.
Working knowledge of NASA NPR 7150.2, real‑time embedded systems, systems engineering, Agile methods, electronics, instrumentation, and closed‑loop avionics control systems.
Ability to work on‑site at Marshall Space Flight Center.

Essential Functions
Work Environment:
Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Requires travel in the domestic USA (5%). Requires ability to work at a computer for long periods of time (100%).

Physical Requirements:
Requires sitting for extended periods of time in meetings with peers, management, and with our client at NASA facilities to discuss technical issues (10%). Also, requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk to write reports and perform engineering tasks (80%). Requires ability to use stairs or elevators for access between floors and multiple buildings at NASA and our facilities (10%).

Equipment and Machines:
Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, fax machine, copier, calculator, and other general office equipment (100%).

Attendance:
Normal workday 7:30-4:30, Monday thru Friday. Minimal overtime may be required (10%) to meet schedule milestones and to support technical demands of the job. Regular attendance is a necessity, and adequate arrangements for delegating duties during absences are required.

Other Essential Functions:
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and to make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment is essential (100%). Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
