Duties
As a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST, GS-2003-09, you will manage for Retail Supply Standard Army Management Information System (STAMIS) in for Material Management Branch. Reviews, analyze, and interpret supply directives and guidelines to formulate and implement effective operating procedures to achieve optimum logistical support. Develop criteria and administers procedures to affect and ensure the validity of the quality assurance programs within the branch. Perform analysis and assessment of logistical program requirements to eliminate problems and deficiencies. --Develop and establishes controls to ensure that results of workload requirements identify systemic problems and enhance mission accomplishment. Perform surveys and studies of branch supply operations to determine proper application of improved supply methods. Analyze data input and statistics extracted from data processing systems to assure adequacy and accuracy of produces and functions. Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must have at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade, analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc. Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment. Knowledge of supply functions, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures. Experience in cost estimates, budgets, or funding management. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support. Experience requiring person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc.
Physical Demands: The work is sedentary and accomplished while the employee is comfortably seated. Walking and standing may occur in connection with attendance at meetings and conferences or while researching information. Items carried typically are light, such as briefcases, notebooks and reports. No special physical effort is required.
Education
Graduate Education: Education at the graduate level in an accredited college or university in the amounts below meets the requirements for positions at GS-7 through GS-11. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
master's or equivalent graduate degree

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related

- KANSAS ARMY NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.
- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
