Job Description
Five Rivers Analytics is looking for a Logistics and Warehouse Support Subject Matter Expert to work in Tucson, AZ. The United States Border Patrol (USBP) is the mobile, uniformed law enforcement aims of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) responsible for securing U.S. borders between ports of entry. The Southwest Field Office requires highly qualified subject matter experts to provide essential support for logistics, asset management, property management, and warehouse operations. Their collective expertise and contributions are vital to the successful execution of the SWFO's responsibilities. The candidates are responsible for maintaining the necessary technical, supervisory, and administrative personnel in accordance with the delivery schedule. Responsible for providing logistics and warehouse support services, including 1) warehouse logistics operations, 2) property management 3) asset management 4) deployment and sustainment 5) solutions engineering support and 6) tower climbing. Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing and managing deployment and sustainment activities, ensuring that all tasks are carried out in accordance with established requirements, industry standards, and programmatic objectives.
- This includes comprehensive planning, execution, and monitoring of system deployments, civil buildouts, and sustainment operations.
- The contractor must ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols, safety regulations, and technical specifications while maintaining effective communication and collaboration with team members, vendors, and government stakeholders.
- This responsibility requires a meticulous approach to ensuring all documentation aligns with established standards, programmatic objectives, and industry's best practices.
- Required to travel to and from designated deployment locations where work is actively being conducted.
- While on-site, the contractor must perform detailed field observations of the systems undergoing deployment, ensuring that all activities are carried out in alignment with established requirements, industry standards, and program objectives.
- This responsibility includes monitoring the progress of deployments, identifying any discrepancies or issues, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance protocols, safety regulations, and technical specifications.
- Responsible for inspecting and validating work performed by outside vendors residing on and near CBP owned or leased towers, at such tower heights existing.
- Responsible for documenting deployment notes and related information in alignment with discussions held with the team leader and team members.
- This includes preparing comprehensive daily reports that detail field observations and deployment activities. These reports must be thorough, accurate, and reflective of all pertinent observations and actions taken during deployment operations to ensure effective communication and adherence to program objectives.
- Responsible for maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date documentation within the SWFO TEAMS channel. This includes uploading and organizing all deployment-related materials, such as deployment checklists, inventories of decommissioned equipment, and detailed deployment observation reports. Ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of these documents is critical to facilitating effective communication, supporting program objectives, and adhering to established standards and protocols.
- Responsible for effectively managing schedules and allocating resources to meet mission requirements. This includes facilitating site access by coordinating with SWFO, ensuring that agents are not diverted from enforcement duties.
- Responsible for conducting physical configuration audits, supporting system acceptance inspections, and overseeing functional testing requirements.
- Assist as needed with delivering comprehensive asset management support services, encompassing accountability across all phases of the asset lifecycle, including acquisition, maintenance, and disposition.
- This responsibility involves overseeing the receipt of package deliveries and performing detailed inspections to confirm the completeness of the delivered items.
- Additional duties may include the following: Escort Duties, Cargo Security, Inventory and Disposition, Forklift Support and Vehicle Transportation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as a tower climber/tower worker, climbing minimum 200 ft. performing tower maintenance and equipment installation on towers.
- Able to climb towers and structures up to 400 feet high.
- Required to be tower climb certified at a competent level and must be able to complete tower inspections in accordance with the Tower Industry Association (TIA) 222-G standards. (Must Hold Comtrain Competent Climber/Rescuer certification or equivalent certification prior to start)
- Capable of identifying issues and risks within deployment plans and managing schedules and resources to ensure the timely delivery of required objectives.
- Must possess comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of deployment and sustainment operations, including the ability to review and provide recommendations on deployment and sustainment documentation, such as JAI as-built drawings, system diagrams, work statements, and other associated technical and operational documentation.
- The contractor must be well versed in telecommunication and/or video surveillance technology.
- Certified - or able to be certified - in accordance with OSHA Regulations and ANSI/TIA Standards.
- Ability to climb ladders and steep staircases.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Must be able to pass a DHS Customs and Border Protections Background Investigation.
- Must be available to travel (up to 75%) for this position.
