Linux System Administrator II

Job Description

SALARY RANGE $124,000 - $181,000/year

DUTIES As a successful candidate for the Linux System Administrator II role, you will provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. You will manage the IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Finally, you will provide support to IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.

• Configure and maintain Linux and Windows servers
• Ability to automate processes such as device hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, and system monitoring of Windows and Linux servers
• Ability to climb ladders to install and troubleshoot sensor devices
• Apply fixes, patches, and upgrades in a timely fashion
• Troubleshoot server issues
• Administer customer accounts
• Deploy monitoring tools
• Deploy applications and tools
• Assist with escalated customer tickets

QUALIFICATIONS Ten (10) years of experience as an SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Additional Requirements:

• Mid-level Windows and Linux server system administration experience and knowledge. Minimum of 1 year of experience with each of these two operating systems
• VMware architecture administration experience
• Knowledge of physical and virtual servers
• Application administration and troubleshooting skills
