Job Description

Duties

  • Prepares a variety of correspondence, briefing charts and reports for the Director. Arranges appointments and meetings, makes travel arrangements and maintains the calendar for the Director.
  • Reviews correspondence prepared by other personnel to ensure it is formatted properly and is grammatically correct.
  • Prepares time cards and maintains records, files and other data as required. Screens calls and visitors and provides general information and answers questions pertaining to routine matters.
  • Tracks suspense items for the Directorate. Assists in arranging various command events and functions such as Town Hall Meetings, Changes of Command, etc.
  • Serves as the Command's point of contact for DoD Building Passes and Common Access Cards. Uses a GSA vehicle to make periodic distribution / coordination visits to the DoD Building Pass Office, the Army Security Office, and other offices.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position- including a Tier III background investigation.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Must possess a valid US Driver's license with the ability to obtain and maintain a valid US Army Europe (USAREUR) Certificate of license. License must be obtained within 30 days of arrival on site.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

-Work experience that includes a practical application of the above described or related work experience. Must be able to communicate in a clear, concise and grammatically correct manner. Must have knowledge of Army administrative policies and procedures. Must have knowledge of military protocol procedures to arrange special events and functions. Must be able to use a variety of software programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive in the local commuting area.

  • The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is local commuting area. The local commuting area defined as within 100 km (60 miles) of Stuttgart, Germany.   • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), incentives and differentials will not be paid, with the exception of post allowance, contingent upon eligibility.
