Job Description

As the Site Survey Lead, you serve as the primary subject matter expert for all site survey activities within the modernization project, ensuring rigorous compliance with engineering standards and validating all survey methodologies.

You will lead the technical team in reviewing survey plans, confirming adherence to design objectives, and resolving complex technical issues during field execution.

Your role is critical in coordinating with the PMO and base stakeholders to guarantee that all survey outputs meet the project's modernization requirements.

You will provide essential technical input for Survey Requirements Confirmation (SRC) and Kick-Off Meetings, review Site Survey Reports (SSRs), and support the development of the Site Preparation Requirements and Installation Plan (SPRIP).

Additionally, you are responsible for overseeing on-site technicians to ensure the successful configuration, installation, monitoring, and maintenance of the network and ISP/OSP infrastructure, while maintaining high standards for vulnerability management and systems administration across the operational network.

Responsibilities

  • Additionally, you are responsible for overseeing on-site technicians to ensure the successful configuration, installation, monitoring, and maintenance of the network and ISP/OSP infrastructure, while maintaining high standards for vulnerability management and systems administration across the operational network.
  • Monitors the progress of construction projects and ensure compliance with construction safety regulations. Leads the site operations to ensure that projects are completed in a safe and timely manner.
  • Administrates operations and activities to detect unsafe conditions or actions and takes action to correct them.
  • Typically have little authority for personnel decisions.

Qualifications

  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required for consideration.
  • Requires a High School diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience in technical site surveys or network infrastructure.
  • Must hold and maintain active technical certifications in accordance with DoD 8140/DCWF (e.g., Security+).
  • Demonstrated experience in the configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of network systems and ISP/OSP distribution (fiber and copper).
  • Proven ability to lead survey teams, validate field data, and translate survey findings into formal engineering documents like the SPRIP or SSR.
  • Experience ensuring that on-site personnel are qualified, formally trained, and proficient with the tools required for the duration of the period of performance.
  • Knowledge of network vulnerability management, software patching, and change management within a secure operational environment.


Preferred Qualification:

Prior experience supporting similar Air Force modernization programs.
