Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Systems Engineer to support the Test and Development Center (TDC) environment, which hosts a diverse set of mission-critical software requiring ongoing sustainment, automation, and secure configuration management. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working in a highly technical, Windows-heavy enterprise environment where automation, scripting, and system hardening directly enable mission success.
In this role, you will support both the sustainment of existing applications and the integration of new software capabilities into the TDC ecosystem. You will work across system administration, automation engineering, cybersecurity hardening, and user support to ensure the environment remains stable, secure, and efficiently operated.

The expected annual salary range: $148k - $162k. Salary is dependent upon the role and associated responsibilities, candidate's experience, work location and qualifications to include education/training, and key skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support a diverse portfolio of software systems within the TDC environment
- Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline system builds, deployments, and maintenance tasks
- Apply STIG hardening and security configuration baselines across Windows-based systems and services
- Support integration of new software into the TDC environment, ensuring compatibility and operational readiness
- Document system processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures to support sustainment and knowledge sharing
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and assist with user help tickets and troubleshooting requests
- Support and administer Microsoft-based enterprise systems, including:
- Active Directory
- Exchange
- WSUS
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate system administration and operational tasks
- Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to ensure systems remain secure and compliant with DoD requirements
- Assist in maintaining system availability, performance, and configuration integrity across the environment
Required Environment Experience
- Strong experience supporting Microsoft enterprise environments
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- Active Directory administration
- Windows Server environments
- WSUS patch management
- Exchange administration (preferred)
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management
- Experience applying DoD STIGs and security hardening practices
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Secret Security clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in technical engineering
