Job Description

Duties

  • Formulates and implements the comprehensive logistics support plans, policies and logistics operations support, based on logistics data and requirements.
  • Develops, coordinates and implements policies, procedures and requirements for unit deployment, inter-service support agreements.
  • Obtains data from the Unit Status Report and the Material Readiness Report to determine and improve logistics readiness.
  • Develops, staffs and implements logistics plans for material fielding, mission support and mobilization.
  • Serves as the Information Systems/Automation Security Officer, Physical Security Officer and Safety Officer for the directorate, providing technical oversight throughout the shops and activities of the program.
  • Updates Internal Management Control (IMC) Plan projecting 5 years into future for all DCSLOG/G4 branches or activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MILITARY GRADES: WO1-CW3/O1-O4

COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: **90A, 88A, 91B, 92A, 882A, 890A, 913A, 914A, 915A, 919AA, 920A, 920B, 921A, 922A, 923A, 948B, 948D**

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Experience supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.

Education

To receive credit for Education, you must provide transcripts or documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.You may combine education with specialized experience to meet the length of experience requirement for GS-11. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the line of work.

For the GS-11 level: To qualify on education alone applicant must have one of the following: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related

Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grade GS-11 including qualifying with combination of education and experience.
