The Opportunity:
CACI is currently seeking a proactive, analytical, and highly organized Configuration Data Management Representative ( Embedded Material Readiness Liaison) to join our team in support of the Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet (SURFPAC).
This pivotal role serves as a direct liaison between the NSWC Corona Division and SURFPAC, providing dedicated, on-site analytical support to the command.
The Liaison will leverage deep access to material readiness data to provide actionable insights, support critical decision-making, and enhance the overall readiness of the surface fleet. You will be responsible for a broad range of analytical tasks, from routine briefing support to in-depth, ad hoc investigations of complex fleet readiness issues.
Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary on-site liaison between NSWC Corona and SURFPAC, facilitating seamless communication and data exchange regarding the reliability, maintainability, and availability of shipboard systems.
• You will learn, understand, utilize, and communicate multiple division-level processes and tools such as MRDB, TSP, SMDII, etc., to support RM&A (Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability) assessment.
• Provide direct analytical support for recurring command-level briefs (e.g., Operations & Intelligence, Maritime Headquarters Readiness) by compiling, synthesizing, and interpreting data from various sources, including CASREP, supply, and maintenance databases.
• Respond to ad hoc data calls and urgent information requests from SURFPAC leadership regarding equipment status, requisition tracking, supply availability, and CASREP impacts on operational readiness.
• Combine, integrate, and analyze readiness and failure data to assess the performance of single systems, multi-systems, or systems-of-systems.
• Support deep-dive analysis on critical systems to identify readiness degraders, supply chain issues, and negative performance trends, providing data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Prepare and present clear, concise system analysis reports, metrics, and status updates with actionable intelligence to stakeholders and command leadership.
• Participate in recurring meetings, working groups, and analytical cells, providing subject matter expertise on readiness data, analytical methodologies, and NSWC Corona tools (MRDB, TSP, etc.).
• Support efforts to align system configurations, bills of material, and nomenclatures across various Navy logistics and maintenance databases to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance analytical efficiency and the effectiveness of data support to the command.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Relevant technical degree and U.S. Navy equivalent work and leadership experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders ranging from working to executive levels.
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a moderate to high operational tempo.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Active DoD SECRET Security Clearance.
Desired:
• Knowledge of Navy organization, structure, ship classes, and shipboard systems.
• Experience with Navy supply and maintenance tasking (i.e. requisition tracking, parts sparing) and databases (e.g. OARS, MRDB, PMO, OneTouch, eCANNAB, eCASREP).
• Knowledge of reliability, maintainability, and availability (RM&A) metrics and application.
• Strong understanding of Navy readiness metrics, such as Operational Availability (Ao), and how supply effectiveness impacts overall mission capability.
• Prior experience working directly within a program office, Fleet or Type Commander (TYCOM) headquarters, understanding the operational battle rhythm and fast-paced demands of senior leadership.
• Proven experience in a liaison, embedded, or forward-deployed analytical role, demonstrating the ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong alignment with a parent command.
• Experience briefing and translating complex topics into actionable insights for senior military officers (O-6/Flag level) or executive leadership.
