OBXtek is filling a Information Technology Specialist (Journeyman) position on our Staffing and Technical Acquisition Services Support (STAQSS) contract for the Headquarters Air Force.(HAF) supporting Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Science, Technology, Maturation & Logistics (SAF/AQT). AQT is responsible for guiding early-stage technologies and transitioning them into operational capabilities for the Air Force and Space Force. The mission broadly includes:

OBXtek is filling a Information Technology Specialist (Journeyman) position on our Staffing and Technical Acquisition Services Support (STAQSS) contract for the Headquarters Air Force.(HAF) supporting Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Science, Technology, Maturation & Logistics (SAF/AQT). AQT is responsible for guiding early-stage technologies and transitioning them into operational capabilities for the Air Force and Space Force. The mission broadly includes:
- Aligning research priorities with operational needs,
- Transitioning promising R&D efforts into acquisition programs,
- Sustainment strategy developments, and
- Ensuring technology transition aligns with acquisition timelines.
**This position is onsite at the Pentagon 5 days per week.**
Tasks for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintain a standalone network at various locations within the Continental US (CONUS).
- Format & Reimage approximately 30 hard drives using AEGIS Padlock annually to support newly drafted Authorization-to-operate (ATO) and update Concept of Operations (CONOPs).
- Responsible for attending pre-planning meetings, post lessons learned and prepare After Action Reports (AAR). The AAR will be used to gather facts, identify positive and negative trends and provide a platform to resolve issues to include requesting consumables to support current and future studies 47 sessions and address life cycle replacements.
- Coordinate on network related tasks (scheduling shipments, storage and staging of equipment).
- Coordinated shipping arrangements with mailroom facility and destination point of contacts (POC) for network equipment shipments.
- Courier classified (Secret and TS-SCI) material within the National Capital Region (NCR), with possible worldwide courier requirements in direct support to the customer. Assist customers with identifying available government destruction facilities (if required).
- Request Visitor Access Request (VAR) and provide Security Management Office (SMO) Codes if travel is to a cleared facility. Assist with setting up Temporary Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) resetting vault and safe combinations upon arrival and departure.
- Monitor the SQL database data records for accuracy, modify web application (ASP) code, generate routine & non-routine reports/queries, and training support staff on web application.
- Maintain inventory of equipment including but not limited to computers, lock bags, cables and adapters, projectors, projectors, scanners, CDs/DVDs, and other material related to onsite product configuration and control.
- Transfer files to and from external hard drives.
- Develop artifacts to support annual new membership nomination and approval process.
- Develop artifacts to support annual study topic nomination process.
- Update and maintain organizational content on the AF Portal and public website, training and resolving content issues and questions.
- Maintain organizational content and access control on SharePoint applications, training, and resolve content issues and questions; set-up and maintain organizational file plan.
- Maintain All Partners Access Network usernames and passwords, resolve password reset requests, establish folder structure at Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) level.
- Handle confidential and classified (Secret/TS-SCI) information, correspondence, and communications.
- Any other tasks closely associated with the performance of duties list above and as coordinated with the COR.
Qualifications
Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI capability
- A Bachelor's Degree
- Approximately 3 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with:
- MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS operating systems (OS) administration and associated hardware
- SharePoint
- Structured Query Language (SQL) programming language
- Active Server Pages (ASP) coding
- Low to high and parallel Data Transfer Authority (DTA)
- Proficient in all computer-based communication/office IT tools.
- Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologies to include communications security (COMSEC) integration.
- Must be able to travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR), CONUS locations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Canvas Power Apps is a plus and willingness to learn is essential
Experience Substitutions:
- 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a BA/BS degree.
- Associate degree plus 4 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a BA/BS degree.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move or traverse throughout a large, secure facility and between multiple work areas
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists and fingers
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer
