Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). This team performs advanced research, development, and systems engineering to ensure warfighter superiority across training systems, cyber warfare, fleet readiness, and sustainment solutions for the U.S. Navy—specifically supporting Submarine Fleet systems across their full lifecycle.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing on-site engineering, support, and research of SIGINT/IO/EW/CSO systems
• Identifying, de-conflicting, and orchestrating integration of innovative technology being developed throughout the community
• Planning, testing, and providing technical expertise to the identification of innovative technology within the community
• Evaluating vendor capabilities to provide required products and services
• Analyzing, interpreting, and generating engineering schematics and change notices
• Performing system and performance modeling
• Conducting root cause analysis
• Designing hardware with respect to component/assembly analysis, specification, integration, and testing
• Providing RF system/subsystem analysis and specification review
• Providing engineering support to the process of integrating novel solutions to existing Programs of Record (POR)
Providing transition support of newly identified and innovative technology to existing PORs
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
- Six years of full-time professional experience working as an electrical/electronic engineer
- Four years in professional experience in each of the following skill-sets/disciplines:
- Performing systems engineering activities on Cryptologic Carry-On Equipment (COE) or Electronic Warfare (EW) Programs, involving fully integrated tactical systems for military intelligence programs ashore and afloat
- Demonstrated engineering experience on U.S. Navy and warfare systems and their systems integration process as it relates to distribution systems impacts, mission, performance, and interoperability impacts
- Three years of experience professional experience in each of the following skill-sets/disciplines:
- COE/EW concepts and operations deployment
- Radio Frequency (RF) design and analysis (e.g. propagation prediction measurement, receiver modeling, analysis, and design, detection and signal characterization processing, non-cooperative demodulation processing for signals of interest, and antenna array modeling)
- Operating systems experience in Windows and Linux
- Requires a TS/SCI clearance
