Job Description
Administers the DOD, DOE, or other industrial security programs. Develops and implements security procedures and policies in coordination with government agencies and management personnel and clearance documentation. Investigates, prepares, and submits incident reports as required. Participates in the development of security education programs. Provides technical and physical support for high security areas, security equipment, and security systems. Investigates security violations and recommends corrective actions. Maintains liaison with outside agencies. Maintains access control and surveillance of the facility.

Responsibilities
Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
- Develops and implements security procedures and policies in coordination with government agencies and management personnel and clearance documentation.
- Participates in the development of security education programs.
- Maintain the master access control list and issue proximity badges for personnel on the access list to enter the facility without escort during working hours (0600-1800 M-F).
- Coordinate with other security professionals (government and contractor) to update the master access control list.
- Closely coordinate with Facility Security Officer (FSO) for all matters related to physical security and building access.
- Document security violations and/or concerns and submit them to the FSO for resolution.
- Greet visitors, issue temporary badges to visitors and facilitate an escort while in the facility, then collect badges when visitors depart.
- Provide physical security for the building by monitoring access/entry control points requiring periodic physical checks of each entry control point (door).
- Monitor security cameras during working hours.
- Disarm the alarm (fire, theft, emergency) and unlock the building at the start of each business day.
- Set the alarm (fire, theft, emergency) and lock the building at the end of each business day.
- 20-minute response time to Hanahan, SC if building alarm activates after hours to meet with emergency responders.
- Identify approaches to continuously improve facility security.
Hours:
- 6 AM to 2 PM M-F
Qualifications
- An active DoD Secret clearance or interim Secret is required for consideration.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; minimum 2 years of Industrial Security experience.
- The ability to walk around the exterior of facility, stand for up to 30 minutes, and lift up to 40-lbs.
