Job Description
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of overall development experience for IT systems and a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent field (*4 years of work experience can be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree)
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- 5+ years of experience in build, deployment, release automation, and orchestration - supporting cloud-based applications and infrastructure
- Proven experience supporting cloud environments across one or more major platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code practices, automated configuration management, and large-scale software deployments
- Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
- Experience with containerized application deployments, including hands-on work with Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift
- Active Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC certification
Plusses:
- Scripting abilities in languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- Familiarity with protocols including JSON and XML
- Understanding of frameworks like OWASP or DevSecOps
- Cloud Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Google Cloud Architect, or MCSE – Cloud Platform).
Day to Day:
Insight Global is looking to hire a DevOps/Cloud Engineer (TS/SCI + Poly) for one of our clients, sitting onsite in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you will leverage your development background to streamline the entire software development life cycle, from initial build through deployment, using modern cloud-native managed services. You will lead efforts to integrate open-source tooling, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices while working within Agile frameworks to deliver secure, scalable enterprise solutions. The work centers on reducing friction in getting code from concept into production, while maintaining strong security and compliance standards. You will also collaborate with highly skilled engineering teams to implement continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines that accelerate the delivery of critical applications and services supporting national intelligence missions.
