Basic Requirements for Occupational Therapist (Holistic Health and Fitness):
**(1) Degree: A graduate (or higher level) degree that included an occupational therapy curriculum approved by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) or a professional accrediting organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained, and completion of the clinical requirements prescribed by the school. (Note: You must provide a copy of transcripts.)

**(2) Certification: Applicants must have passed the national examination administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). (Note: You must provide a copy of your certification.)
Exemption: You are exempt from the basic requirements above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0631 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before. Note: You will be required to provide appropriate documentation to the respective Human Resources Office to validate your status.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
(3) Specialized Experience: At least one full year of professional Occupational Therapy experience (equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service) which includes applying occupational therapy principles to enhance human performance; conducting performance focused assessments in adult populations and implementing evidence-based strategies aimed at optimizing cognitive, behavioral and occupational performance; coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to support readiness and performance objectives.

Additional information
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to maximize Soldier performance and improve unit readiness.
- Provide occupational therapy subject matter expertise in support of Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) Integration Team onboarding, training, and program integration mission.
- Deliver doctrinally aligned and tailored instruction and guidance to H2F Performance Teams (HPTs), Program Directors, and unit leadership on integration of mental and sleep domains within the H2F System.
- Delivers briefings to large and diverse audiences, including senior leaders, in both formal and informal settings. Communicates complex human performance concepts clearly and effectively to varied audiences, ensuring understanding and application
- Demonstrates proficiency in public speaking and professional engagements in support of H2F training, onboarding, and leader development.
- Represents the H2F Integration Team during engagements, briefings, and working groups with external and internal stakeholders.
- Assists in planning, coordination, and execution of onboarding and training events across brigade and division echelons.
- Apply performance-focused assessments to identify sleep, cognitive, behavioral, and occupational factors impacting Soldier readiness and H2F System implementation.
- Integrate evidence-based occupational therapy framework and principles into H2F training, with emphasis on sleep, mental readiness, stress management, recovery and performance behaviors.
- Contribute to the development, refinement, and validation of H2F doctrine, policies, and implementation of guidance by providing domain specific expertise and operational feedback.
- Support implementation and operationalization of H2F doctrine, policies, and guidance by translating doctrine into practical application during HIT engagements with Brigades, units, HPTs, and leadership.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary H2F team members to synchronize delivery of physical and non-physical readiness capabilities during training and integration efforts.
- Provide consultation to HPTs and leadership on application of human performance principles to improve readiness and program effectiveness.
- Assist in identifying capability gaps and recommending improvements to enhance H2F onboarding, training, and integration processes, particularly for mental and sleep domains.
- Observe and assess the H2F Sleep and Mental Domains execution during engagements and provide engagements recommendations to improve integration, training effectiveness, and adherence to established guidelines and doctrine.
