There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Key Responsibilities:
- Server Management: Configure and maintain our robust Linux and Windows servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Automation Expert: Develop and implement automation scripts for device hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, and system monitoring across both Windows and Linux platforms.
- Hands-On Installations: Get involved in the action by climbing ladders to install and troubleshoot sensor devices, ensuring our physical infrastructure is top-notch.
- Timely Upgrades: Apply fixes, patches, and upgrades promptly to keep our systems running smoothly.
- Troubleshooting Guru: Diagnose and resolve server issues with precision and efficiency.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Administer customer accounts and provide top-tier support by assisting with escalated customer tickets.
- Monitoring and Deployment: Deploy advanced monitoring tools and applications to enhance system performance and reliability.
Required Qualifications:
- Clearance: An active NSA TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Experience: Mid-level experience in Windows and Linux server system administration (minimum 1 year with each OS).
- VMware Expertise: Proven experience in VMware architecture administration.
- Server Knowledge: Strong understanding of both physical and virtual servers.
- Application Skills: Solid application administration and troubleshooting abilities.
- Certification: Security+ certification.
Education and Experience:
- Experience: Ten (10) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Alternatively, five (5) years of additional SA experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
- Degree: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hardware Installation: Experience with hardware installation and cabling.
- Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with various monitoring tools.
- Network Savvy: Network experience including architecture, switch administration, and troubleshooting.
- Cloud Experience: Knowledge of AWS/VMs.
