Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Linux Systems Engineer to join one of our clients in Virginia Beach, VA. This person provides technical support of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVCt) training events for distributed simulation applications and utilities. This is an onsite role in Virginia Beach and may require some night/ weekend work for events.
Essential Job Responsibilities
• Installs new NTB software releases, upgrades, and patches.
• Provides engineering related support for NTB setup and configuration during the planning and execution of training events.
• Uses systems management software to monitor key simulation components and interfaces to respond to error conditions and ensure continued service.
• Troubleshoots problems and coordinates with other teams when problems occur.
• Develops and maintains technical architecture, configuration, and status documentation.
Requirements:
• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field or 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field or 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Must have hands on experience with command line linux
• A current CompTIA Security + certification is required for the position.
• Active secret clearance
