Description

DNI Emerging Technologies is seeking a qualified Weather Technical Readiness Evaluation Advisor to support ACC/A3W. Headquarters Air Combat Command Weather Operations Division (ACC/A3W) is responsible to organize, train and equip (OT&E) Total Force weather forces, provide combatant commanders with combat-ready weather forces through the global force management process, and provide operations expertise for lead command management of the Air Force Weather Weapons System (AFWWS) in coordination with the Air Combat Command Weather Requirements Division (ACC/A5W). Through field units, ACC/A3W maximizes the operational capabilities of active and gained Air Combat Command (ACC) Numbered Air Force (NAFs) and wings and Continental United States (CONUS)-based active and Reserve Component Army combat and training units by enabling operations safety, safeguarding resources, and optimizing training effectiveness.

  • Implement ACC/A3W weather functional responsibilities for technical readiness IAW Air Combat Command Instruction (ACCI) 15-129, Weather Operations Readiness.
  • Monitor metrics dashboards and identify trends and deficiencies associated with organizing, training, and equipping ACC weather forces.
  • Provide feedback on Major Command (MAJCOM)-level weather metrics trends or concerns that may require Air Force-wide policy or training changes to improve the weather functional community's technical performance.
  • Serve as the ACC/A3W Point of Contact (PoC) for the Air Force Lessons Learned Program IAW Air Force Instruction (AFI) 10-1302 and Department of the Air Force Manual (DAFMAN) 15-129.
  • Monitor Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) accounts on all security enclaves.
  • Collect and recommend validation of observations (Lessons Identified), submitted by Airmen or included in After-Action Reports, and upload them to the JLLIS database no later than 30 days after the event.
  • Analyze Lessons Identified using Government-provided Artificial Intelligence tools to discover trends, common issues, and best practices. Recommend resolution actions to
  • ACC/A3W (either to address shortfalls or institutionalize best practices) to ensure Lessons Identified become Lessons Learned.
  • Serve as an ACC/A3W subject matter expert to integrate weather operations into Information Warfare (IW) capabilities.
  • Coordinate weather operations inputs to IW strategies and policies with Headquarter Air Force (HAF)/A3W, other Major Commands, and ACC weather organizations.
  • Assist ACC weather organizations with integrating weather operations into IW activities


Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Meteorological Technology, Statistics, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of military or civilian experience in tactical and/or operational-level weather operations.
  • Possess a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
