• Duration: long term, ongoing contract – we are a direct sub to the C2BMC program
• Clearance: Secret, will hold TS if you already have it

"The Release Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the successful deployment of software releases, patches, and hotfixes for the C2BMC Regional Apps Software Team. This position supports a large, globally deployed software system used by the Department of Defense, with different COCOMs deploying different versions of the software baseline. The Release Manager will coordinate with developers, product owners, and engineering managers to ensure that all software releases are properly planned, executed, and documented.
Essential Functions:
• Ensure that all software releases, patches, and hotfixes are properly planned, executed, and documented, with accurate tracking of changes and updates across the various software branches
• Coordinate with developers, product owners, and engineering managers to ensure that all software releases are completed and artifacts are recorded on time
• Manage multiple processes and documents, serving as the primary point of contact between the Regional Apps Agile Release Train (ART) and other ARTs within the program regarding current and future releases of Regional Apps software
• Collaborate with key program stakeholders, including Configuration Management (CM), Release Management, and Quality Assurance, to ensure the successful release of software artifacts and the creation of deployment media
• Develop, maintain, and present key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics for the Regional Apps Enterprise
• Prioritize and manage emergency software changes, ensuring timely resolution of operational deficiencies or anomalies that affect customer satisfaction
• Support Regional Apps PI Planning, ensuring that the development teams plan the work needed for future Releases
• Coordinate with other program points of contact to ensure the timeliness and completeness of Releases
Basic Qualifications:
Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
• Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period
• Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
• Willingness to travel 10% of the time for business needs
• At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on release and configuration management
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, including planning, development, testing, and deployment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. At least 12 years of experience in software development, with a focus on release management, configuration management, or a related field
• Experience with large, complex software systems, including those used by the Department of Defense
• Familiarity with C2BMC-specific software deployment processes
• Certification in Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner)
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Experience with metrics development and reporting, with the ability to analyze and present complex data"
