Senior DevSecOps Engineer
Location: On Site
Clearance: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly (Required)
Position Overview
GoldenTech is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and sustainment of secure software development and deployment pipelines across classified environments. This role will work closely with developers, system engineers, and security teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring compliance, scalability, and operational resilience.
Responsibilities
DevSecOps Engineering & Automation
Design and implement secure, automated CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins
Integrate automated security scanning, compliance validation, and testing into pipeline workflows
Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting support for pipeline optimization and performance
Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering
Architect, deploy, and maintain secure cloud environments within AWS platforms including Amazon Web Services (GovCloud, C2S, TC2S)
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible
Ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience of DevSecOps toolchains and environments
Security Integration & Compliance
Embed security controls and best practices across the SDLC in alignment with Security Technical Implementation Guide requirements and federal frameworks
Provide guidance on secure coding practices, vulnerability remediation, and ATO support activities
Integrate tools such as SonarQube, Prisma Cloud, and Artifactory for continuous security validation
System Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Analyze system and application logs using Linux-based tools to identify performance issues and security risks
Conduct root cause analysis and implement mitigation strategies for complex system issues
Support continuous monitoring efforts and system optimization
Collaboration & Leadership
Partner with cross-functional teams including developers, system engineers, and program leadership
Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and best practice guidance
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for systems, pipelines, and processes
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly
10+ years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or related engineering roles
Expert experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and automation tools (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube)
Strong experience designing and implementing solutions within AWS environments (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, etc.)
Experience supporting DevSecOps across multiple classified environments
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash within Linux environments (RHEL, Oracle Linux, etc.)
Experience integrating security controls and supporting compliance with federal frameworks (e.g., RMF, STIGs)
Minimum IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SSCP)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating in IL5/IL6+ classified cloud environments
Familiarity with container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
Experience supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) processes within federal environments
Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices within Intelligence Community or DoD programs
