Site Reliability Engineer – Cloud Platforms

Tensley Consulting is seeking a Software Engineer - Site Reliability (SRE - Cloud Platforms) to support the design, build, and operation of secure cloud infrastructure across government environments. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on automation, infrastructure-as-code, and custom tooling-not traditional systems administration. The SRE will work across Microsoft GCC High and Google Cloud environments to develop scalable, reliable infrastructure, build custom integrations where platform gaps exist, and modernize application deployments into repeatable, well-architected solutions. This role operates in a GitOps model with a strong emphasis on code quality, peer review, and engineering discipline while supporting compliance requirements aligned with federal standards.

Education / Experience

Four (4) or more years of experience in software engineering, site reliability engineering, or cloud engineering roles supporting production environments is required.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field from an accredited college or university is preferred.

Additional years of relevant software engineering or cloud engineering experience may be substituted for a degree.

Salary

$100,000-$200,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position, but is not guaranteed. Salary is based on experience, technical depth, cloud platform expertise, and contractual requirements which could fall outside of the range listed.
