Summary:
• Lead the development and maintenance of advanced Big-Data Cloud systems.
• Leverage expertise in Cloud Computing, Hadoop, Java, and Distributed Computing principles.
• Drive the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to testing and deployment.
• Utilize a diverse technology stack including modern DevOps practices, data processing frameworks, and cloud-native databases.
Qualifications & Compensation:
- Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related discipline. A degree may be substituted for 4 additional years of experience.
- Years of experience: 8+ years
- Salary: $278k+ yearly compensation
Job Description:
• Develop, test, and maintain complex Big-Data Cloud systems, applying expertise in Cloud Computing, Hadoop, Java, and Distributed Computing.
• Perform comprehensive software development lifecycle activities, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and deployment.
• Implement and manage modern software configuration management practices, encompassing DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
• Utilize a diverse set of programming languages and scripting tools such as Java, Python, Ruby, and Bash.
• Work with distributed computing frameworks and Big Data technologies, including MapReduce, Yarn, Dataflow, Bigtable, HBase, MongoDB, and Apache Avro.
• Implement and manage search and data flow solutions using Elasticsearch and NiFi.
• Develop and integrate applications using Spring, Angular (Angular.js, Angular2, Angular4), and Restful Web Services.
• Administer and optimize Linux-based systems and virtualized environments (VMWare, Virtual Box).
• Apply knowledge of PKI and system security principles to ensure robust system protection.
• Employ build automation tools like Maven and version control systems such as Subversion.
• Leverage issue tracking and workflow management tools like ClearQuest for project oversight.
• Optimize JVM performance and troubleshoot complex software issues.
