Candidates must already possess an active Top Secret/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph to be considered.
Summary:
• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex Big-Data Cloud systems.
• Manage comprehensive back-end processing, data analysis, and indexing functionalities.
• Apply advanced expertise in Cloud Computing, Distributed Computing, and Information Retrieval.
• Utilize Java applications and Object Oriented Design principles.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, testing, and problem resolution.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related discipline. A degree may be substituted for 4 additional years of experience.
• Years of experience: 12+ years
• Salary: $314k+ yearly compensation
Job Description:
• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex Big-Data Cloud systems, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Manage comprehensive back-end processing, data analysis, and indexing operations.
• Conduct thorough testing of software components and proficiently resolve software defects and issues.
• Apply expert knowledge of software development and design methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform detailed requirements analysis and actively contribute to overall system design and architecture.
• Implement and manage DevOps practices for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
• Utilize expertise in Cloud Computing, Distributed Computing, and Information Retrieval.
• Proficiency with Java (including Spring and JVM), Python, and Ruby programming languages.
• Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Map Reduce, Yarn, HBase, and Apache Avro.
• Hands-on experience with databases and data stores including MongoDB, Bigtable, and Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with data flow management tools like NiFi and Dataflow.
• Competence in front-end development using Angular frameworks.
• Skilled in scripting (Bash) and system administration on Linux environments.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Virtual Box.
• Proficiency with build tools (Maven), version control (Subversion), and issue tracking (ClearQuest).
• Knowledge of RESTful web services and PKI (Public Key Infrastructure).
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented Design principles and Software Architecture.
