ASRC Federal Cyber is seeking an Junior Systems Administrator in San Antonio, TX to support our Department of War customer. The Associate System administrator is responsible for maintenance, configuration, MECM duties, and operations of computer systems and servers. This position installs hardware/software and participates in research and development to keep up to date and improve on Information Technology (IT) equipment and capabilities of the Corporate Dental System. Additionally, associate system administrators resolve issues with computer and server systems to increase system performance and limit impediments and down time.

This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a T3 PUBLIC TRUST security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance, you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.

ASRC Federal Cyber is seeking an Junior Systems Administrator in San Antonio, TX to support our Department of War customer. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains and configures systems, servers, and virtual servers/machines
- Maintains and configures laptop and desktop systems
- Installs DHA provided images on laptops and desktops
- Plans, coordinates, and implements network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
- Troubleshoots hardware/software issues and runs diagnostics
- Tests various internal applications and commercial tasks
- Provide on-call support as-required to sustain nearly 24/7/365 operations
- Complete and document trouble tickets using applicable software, and policy and procedures within established SLA time windows
- Documents system malfunctions and resolutions
- Implement data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
- Provide SME level troubleshooting on file server, IIS, SharePoint, VMware, and in-house application operations
- Document procedures and processes used to research, assess, troubleshoot, test, and resolve support incidents
- Assist and coordinate with all support tiers as necessary to support project/task execution or with any escalated user requests or incidents
- Install, update, test, maintain, and provide corrective maintenance/troubleshooting for Operating Systems, templates, applications, and physical IT equipment including STIG requirements
- Manage and monitor Windows Active Directory, integrated DNS servers and multi-master zones, and WINS servers and replication infrastructure
- Ensure technical safeguards are maintained to provide controlled user access, integrity of electronic mail, applications, and user data
- Administer, issue, and maintain user accounts, distribution/security groups, passwords and SSL and PKI server certifications
- Deploy tested MECM packages to all servers, task sequence creation and troubleshooting
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, System Administration or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience as a system, database, or network administration
- Must have Security+ certification or capable of passing Security+ certification exam
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Possess the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of users and leadership.
- T3 Security Clearance
PREFERERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Group Policy, TCP/IP networking, VMware, and Microsoft Windows Server
- Fundamental knowledge of SCCM duties and ACAS scanning
- Strong incident and problem management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well organized with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources
- Capable of dealing effectively with internal and external customers
- Able to understand workflow design and task-driven logic configuration
