Position Overview
The Software Systems Analyst supports government stakeholders by translating organizational needs into clear technical requirements and user stories. This role works with government organizations to review their organizational processes for improvements, flowchart that process, and help evaluate potential digital solutions. When digital solutions are needed the requirements are broke up into a project's user stories for developers. Create and manage project plans. When completed the analyst will test those solutions against the requirements, testing for security, functionality, and assuring an intuitive user experience. The analyst also troubleshoots issues during development and after deployment. Success requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within an Agile/Scrum environment.
Responsibilities
• Requirements gathering - Work closely with government to gather customer needs in order to generate possible web solutions to assist the organization.
• Project planning - Turn requirements into understandable User Stories for development engineers. Support project planning, timelines, and communication across cross‑functional teams.
• Documentation - Create and maintain up-to-date documentation throughout the life of multiple projects.
• Testing & Validation - Create and run test plans based on project requirements, security, and organizational standards.
• Troubleshooting & Support - Investigate reported issues and collaborate with engineering teams to implement solutions.
Required Qualifications
• 2+ years' experience in software engineering, strategic presentation, driving agile methodologies (Scrum), or technical writing
• Active Secret clearance (ability to obtain Top-Secret/SCI).
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• Active Security+ certification
• ScrumMaster certification
• ITIL Foundation certification
