SIMULATION & MODELING ENGINEER
Innovien Solutions is currently hiring a Modeling & simulation Engineer to support one of our largest clients in the federal sector that will be apart of the development of mission-critical simulation software powering our clients product line. The next-generation sensor backbone of America's missile defense!
You will build the digital stand-ins for the real radars defending the homeland! Before a single radar transmits it proves itself in your simulation first. This is an end-to-end role spanning both software and systems engineering, from requirements through sustainment, with direct influence over the technical direction of every radar.
SIMULATION & MODELING ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
5+ years writing production C++ code
Proven track record developing radar, sensor, or physics-based simulation software in C++ across the full lifecycle
Direct exposure developing radar or subsystem simulation models using industry-standard tools (AFSIM, STK, MATLAB Phased Array System Toolbox, Simulink) or proprietary in-house simulation frameworks at a prime defense contractor
Hands-on experience writing MATLAB and Python scripts to analyze simulation output data, evaluate performance metrics, and generate plots or reports
Strong applied mathematics background using linear algebra, statistical analysis, and signal processing in simulation code
Active U.S. Secret clearance required
PLUS SKILLS:
Working proficiency building structural or behavioral SysML models for architectural modeling
Prior experience writing production code in Java or C#
SIMULATION & MODELING ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Write and maintain C++ code for the Mission Planner, OSM digital twin, SDress design intent model, and standalone truth provider
Lead full-lifecycle development of assigned simulation products
Run MATLAB and Python analysis scripts to evaluate simulation output and performance
Collaborate with product teams building the radar systems being simulated
Lead SysML model development for structural and behavioral modeling
Mentor junior engineers and drive technical direction on the team
