Job Description
The Red Gate Group is seeking a Alternate Positioning, Navigation and Timing (APNT) SME to support a non-personal services contract providing Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) Engineering and Technical Support (RETS) to the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (USW(R&E)). In this role, the selected candidate will contribute to advancing the Department of War's research, engineering, and technology innovation priorities by supporting key initiatives across science and technology, mission capabilities, and commercial technology integration. This effort supports senior leadership in driving cutting-edge research, prototyping, experimentation, and technology transition to maintain a strategic advantage for the joint force.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and oversight as a Chief Systems Engineer (CSE) or Deputy CSE for large-scale technology programs or portfolios exceeding $100M.
- Lead complex engineering efforts across the full spectrum of system design, manufacturing, integration, and testing.
- Guide execution of programs within highly classified environments, including SCI-level efforts or higher.
- Support the development and execution of capabilities related to Alternate Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (APNT) in contested operational environments.
- Apply military operational and technical expertise to ensure control and protection of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) data.
- Contribute to systems and capabilities involving C5ISRT and C-C5ISRT, including integration, analysis of multi-source data, and counter-system strategies.
- Execute activities aligned with the DoD 5000 series acquisition lifecycle, ensuring compliance and effective program delivery.
- Implement and oversee Agile development processes to support iterative capability delivery.
- Establish and manage formal risk management processes for technology development programs.
- Oversee technical requirements development and conduct assessments for new and emerging capabilities.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
- Master's degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline related to Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) and/or C5ISRT.
- Ten (10) years of experience serving as a Chief Systems Engineer (CSE) or Deputy CSE for major technology programs or portfolios valued at over $100M.
- Eight (8) years of leadership experience supporting classified programs at the SCI level or higher.
- Eight (8) years of operational and technical experience in Alternate Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (APNT), including military tactics and methods for operating in contested environments.
- Eight (8) years of experience with C5ISRT and C-C5ISRT systems, including integration, data analysis from multiple sources, and countering such systems.
- Five (5) years of experience supporting the DoD 5000 series acquisition lifecycle process.
- Five (5) years of experience utilizing Agile development methodologies.
- Five (5) years of experience establishing and managing risk management processes for technology programs.
- Five (5) years of experience overseeing technical requirements and conducting assessments for emerging capabilities.
