The Opportunity
NineFX is seeking a System Administrator Level 2 to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise IT systems. This role involves Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, Linux/Windows/UNIX administration, and assisting with system configuration, patching, and performance optimization in a secure environment.
What You’ll Do
System Administration & Operations
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
• Support daily operations and monitoring across client/server, storage, network, and mobile devices
• Manage configuration and day to day operation of IT systems
• Assist users with system access and functionality
• Perform in depth troubleshooting and analysis of escalated issues
• Communicate escalations and system status to stakeholders
• Support dispatch and hardware troubleshooting as needed
Operating Systems & Infrastructure
• Configure and manage Linux, Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2022, and UNIX operating systems
• Install, load, and patch OS software to maintain compliance
• Troubleshoot and maintain system and network component integrity
• Implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance
• Conduct system capacity analysis, planning, and resource optimization
• Support system design, mission architecture, and hardware integration
What You’ll Bring
Required
• Ten (10) years of System Administrator experience supporting similar programs
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
• OR an additional five (5) years of SA experience in lieu of a degree
Additional Technical Skills
• Intermediate Linux administration
• Experience with Bash or other scripting languages
• Familiarity with AWS (preferred)
• Experience with VMware (helpful)
• HUBZone residency preferred (check eligibility: https://maps.certify.sba.gov/)
