Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer to provide end-to- end application development, data engineering, and mission-focused tool delivery in support of Intelligence Community operations in the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) mission space. This role demands strong software development expertise, experience working in classified cloud environments, and the ability to translate complex operational requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions.
The Full Stack Developer will work within a small, high-impact team at RAF Molesworth, collaborating directly with analysts, data scientists, and mission partners to design and deliver innovative tools that enhance operational awareness, data analysis, and decision-making for real-world intelligence challenges.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and deploy full stack applications supporting IC and CBRN mission needs.
• Build and maintain analytic tools and data pipelines using Python, SQL, Spark, PySpark, and NiFi.
• Integrate with externally hosted systems using REST API calls.
• Integrate data from multiple classified and open-source systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, performance, and compliance with security requirements.
• Optimize data processing workflows in distributed computing environments.
• Design and implement intuitive dashboards and web applications using tools such as Kibana, Foundry Workshop (Palantir), or custom HTML web applications.
• Translate complex analytical outputs into user-friendly interfaces for operational stakeholders.
• Partner with analysts, operators, and mission stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
• Identify system enhancements and emerging technologies to improve mission effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. (Additional years of directly relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.)
• Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, Data Engineer, or Software Developer.
• Experience supporting the Intelligence Community or Department of Defense environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python and working with databases.
• Experience with big data frameworks such as Spark, PySpark, or Elasticsearch.
• Experience with at least one data visualization platform (Kibana, Foundry Workshop / Palantir, or similar).
• Understanding of secure coding practices and development in classified environments.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting CBRN, WMD, counterproliferation, or related mission areas.
• Familiarity with CBRN analytical data systems or modeling tools.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with advanced data integration and large-scale analytics platforms.
• Experience modernizing legacy systems within secure environments.
• Experience implementing containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience developing standalone web applications utilizing HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• Master’s degree in a technical discipline.
Certifications
• CompTIA Security+
• One or more of the following certifications: AWS Certified Developer or Databricks Certified Developer
