The Opportunity
NineFX is seeking a highly qualified Level 3 System Administrator with extensive expertise in VMWare, Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems. The selected candidate will support critical mission systems and provide comprehensive administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure. This role requires a professional with substantial experience operating in a TS/SCI + FS Poly environment. Preference will be given to applicants who reside in a certified HUBZone.
What You'll Do
• Analyze and resolve complex issues involving server hardware, applications, and software integration
• Configure and administer UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems
• Install, update, and maintain operating system software; implement performance and reliability enhancements
• Manage and support network components to maintain operational integrity
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support, including diagnosis and resolution of escalated issues
• Oversee daily configuration, operation, and monitoring of IT systems
• Assist users with system access and general IT system utilization
• Conduct ongoing system optimization, resource utilization reviews, and capacity planning
• Monitor and troubleshoot client/server, storage, network, and mobile environments
• Prepare and deliver status updates, escalation reports, and technical feedback to management and internal stakeholders
• Support system design activities, mission architecture planning, and hardware integration
• Apply system administration expertise within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) framework
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FS Poly) (no exceptions/no sponsorship)
• Minimum of 15 years of System Administrator experience supporting programs of similar scope and complexity
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution
• OR five (5) additional years of SA experience may substitute for the degree requirement
Preferred Qualifications
• Advanced proficiency in VMWare administration
• Strong background in Linux/UNIX system administration
• Relevant industry certifications such as VCP, RHCSA/RHCE, Security+, Network+, or similar
• HUBZone residency preferred (check eligibility: https://maps.certify.sba.gov/)
