Summary

AV is seeking a highly skilled Virtualization Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our virtualized infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VMware or Nutanix environments and possess a strong background in enterprise virtualization, system integration, and troubleshooting. You will play a critical role in supporting our business and engineering teams, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable virtual platforms

Position Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and manage virtualization infrastructure using VMware vSphere, Nutanix, or similar platforms.
  • Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot virtual machines, storage, and networking to ensure maximum stability and performance.
  • Perform system upgrades, patching, and migrations across virtual environments.
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver tailored virtualization solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, backup procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Maintain documentation for architecture, procedures, and configurations.
  • Evaluate new virtualization technologies and recommend improvements to optimize infrastructure.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and /or Nutanix platform administration
  • Deep knowledge of virtualization concepts, hypervisors, storage, and networking in virtual environments.
  • Experience with enterprise backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions for virtual infrastructures.
  • Proficient with system monitoring, performance tuning, and security controls.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to document technical processes.
  • An active TS/SCI with Polygraph


Salary Range: $102,000 - $255,000

The AV pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.
