Job Description
Job Title: Stress Engineer
Duration: 5 month- C2H
Pay Rate: $50.00-$70.00 (7 - 15 years of experience)
Schedule: Monday - Friday (8 hour shifts)
Start Date: 5/4 or 5/11
Interview Process: 1-round; virtual
Must Haves
• ABET Accredited Bachelor’s degree - Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Materials, or Structural Engineering
• US Citizen and must qualify for a Secret Clearance
• Experience with NASGRO, AFGROW, FEMAP, PATRAN
• 7 - 15 years of experience in:
○ Crack Initiation/ Fatigue Analysis
○ Crack Growth Analysis/ Damage Tolerance
○ DT, DTA, DADT, Structural Analysis
Plusses
• Previous Experience with SLAPs/SLEPs (Service Life Assessment Program/ Service Life Extension Program)
• Working knowledge in FEM, FEA, Vibrations, Dynamic Loading
• Experience with T-45 Aircrafts
Day to Day
The Stress Engineer will be responsible for rerunning stress calculations and tests. The first year of this assignment will be strictly rerunning analysis, then they will switch into standard stress analysis work. They will interact with liaison engineers to help give repair guidance. 95% of the role will be behind a computer running the numbers for analysis. This position will pay $50-$70hr depending upon years of experience.
